This course is an ideal starting point for wine enthusiasts wanting to get to grips with the basics, or those embarking on a career in wine or hospitality.
In a short space of time, you’ll find yourself feeling much more confident tasting wine, navigating a wine list, buying bottles and pairing wine with food.
This course is suitable for students with little to no wine knowledge who wish to explore, with confidence, the main styles of wine.
The course provides a solid foundation which can be built on further on the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines.

For individuals new to wine study, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately and make food and wine pairings. You can join us at our central London location for training in-person, or for online classes – whatever suits you.
