Become a course provider

Start your journey

WSET® works with an extensive global network of course providers, known as Approved Programme Providers (APPs).

These are organisations we’ve approved to offer WSET course programmes and exams. Course providers are our partners in our mission to provide inspiring learning experiences and deliver globally trusted qualifications.

All course providers undergo a rigorous approval and monitoring process to ensure they meet the high standards expected, both to teach our course programmes and to administer exams in line with WSET® policy.

We approve course providers to run in-person courses in one territory only (a territory normally means a country). If you’d like to run courses in an additional territory, you’ll typically need a separate course provider agreement for that territory. We don’t give course providers exclusive rights to offer our qualifications in a particular territory, or region within that territory, nor do we set any limits on the number of course providers within a region.

WSET can only support a limited number of applicants through the course provider application process at any one time. If you’re interested in learning more about the application process for becoming a course provider, we encourage you to review the application requirements and get in touch with the relevant Market Business Development team below. You’ll need a working level of English for clear communication with WSET.

Educator Training Programme at WSET

We want students to have a rich and rewarding learning experience in the classroom. We’re also dedicated to developing students into the next generation of educators. As part of this, we offer the Educator Training Programme (ETP) to new and existing educators. Here  we coach teaching skills that will engage students, bring the subject to life, and inspire individuals from beginner to expert.

The ETP is offered to individuals who are working with, or plan to work with, our network of course providers. You’ll need to have passed Level 3 or Level 4 in your subject in order to be eligible.

Please contact the Market Development team for more information.
